Vanwege de jonge leeftijd (18 i.p.v. de vereiste 21 jaren oud) moest voor deze uitbater speciaal ontheffing worden aangevraagd bij de Koningin, welke ook werd verleend. Het was toen voornamelijk een jeugdcafé. Na ca. 8 maanden werd het verkocht aan Jacky Blitz, voormalig barkeeper op de Holland-Amerika Line en Hotel Brittania.
